| The Sellers Fee |
This needs to be paid in FULL before the vehicle is taken to the docks.
Mostly All seller preffer payment via Bank Transfer TT which there will
be a small charge from your bank for doing this.
|
The Shipping Fee's
|
The Shipping price goes off the size and weight of the car not the type. The Fee for space on
the ship/vessel can either be paid in the price of the vehicle know as a CIF price or it can be
paid when it arrives in the UK at the docks.
|
The Customs Fee's
|
Customs Fee's are tricky to work out.
They add the value of the vehicle and the shipping costs together and then
add 10%, next they work out a charge for the weight which
you dont actually pay which i will explain
in a bit. The charge is worked out as follows:
£90 per ton weight
£80 Admin Charge.
If the vehicle weighs 1 ton then a fee of £90+£80 is
added to the previous figure you got when adding the 10%
Next 17.5% is added to that figure.
Now the weight charge is deducted as it is only added
so they can add vat onto it, yes i know.. very strange.!!
Now you have your customs charges, this is minus a further
admin charge of £65 that needs to be added along with the
shipping companys BAF Fee of the same ammount £65.
If you have followed the above you will have a very close final
figure, I say close and not exact because there is always a chance
the shipping prices go up whilst at sea and the difference will need
to be payed and sometimes you can actually get a refund. Estimated
Customs fee's can also change as they opnly quote per calender month
so if you go into the next month the charges can be different.
